Mount Lushan is situated in the north of Jiangxi Province and covers 302 square kilometers. The highest peak of the mountain is The Great Han Yang peak that lies 1,474 meters above sea level.
Lushan is well known for its grotesque and charming peaks, clouds and deep valleys. It also has a cultural and historical value, being one of the spiritual centers of the Chinese civilization. On the moutain there are Buddhist and Taoist temples, Christian and Catholic churches and Islamic mosques.
Its wonderful scenery has been a source of inspiration for many artists and there are approximately 400 verses, more than 400 inscriptions, paintings and calligraphic works by reknowned artists at Lushan.
