The Third China International Vocal Competition will be held October in east China's Ningbo City.

The competition will have three rounds, with a 16,000 US dollar prize for the top male and female singers.

The triennial event is one of a series of music contests held by the Ministry of Culture, and has been held twice since 2000 in Beijing and Guangzhou.
