| J.M.W Turner (1775 – 1851) is considered to be one of the greatest painters Britain has ever produced. He was the leading British artist of his era, who raised the status of landscape painting to an unprecedented level. Tate loans 112 major works, all of which are oil paintings and works on paper, to China.Turner from the Tate Collection will be the first comprehensive exhibition of Turner’s works to be shown in China. 透纳(J.M.W. Turner) (1775-1851)被公认为是最伟大的英国画家之一。他于18世纪末引领英国画坛，将风景画推上了前所未有的高度，他毫无疑问是时代的巨匠。泰特英国美术馆为此次 “泰特美术馆藏透纳绘画珍品展”借出112 幅主要作品给中国展览，力争把透纳的各类艺术作品全面完整地呈现给中国的观众。 |
